1,300 COUPLES TIE KNOT AT BONIFACIO MONUMENT ON VALENTINE'S DAY

Caloocan one of the cities that comprise Metro Manila organized a mass wedding on Valentine’s Day. Some 1,300 previously unwed couples officially tied the knot in a mass wedding at the historic Bonifacio Monument Circle.  City Mayor Enrico Echiverri, main sponsor and officiating minister, solemnized the union of the couples at the Kasalang Bayan at 4pm.
The mayor said he is aware that many couples want or have been planning for a long time to get officially married, but usually are prevented from doing so by expenses.

Maybe I should end this series of Valentine's Day due to the dramatic political situation in the Philippines but since I can't do much about it and because I am such a romantic guy we will continue exploring "love" for a few more days.

Led by Manila Mayor Lito Atienza, the eager couples counted down the seconds to the kissing frenzy.
At 12 midnight, amid a magnificent display of fireworks and the romantic strains of "What the World Needs Now is Love," boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives and lovers expressed their love through a kiss.

I apologize that this special moment is badly documented but I was too busy kissing to care for pictures ;-)

There was a lot of music, street dancing and all the showbiz's sweetest love teams were present.
To allow everyone to declare his/her love to his/her sweetheart the organizers placed kissing, serenade, love letter and single booths all along Roxas Boulevard.
